We are looking for a Paralegal to join our growing team. This is a full-time position working remotely with some in office meetings and tasks. You must have a space where you can work privately and with strong internet connection. Regular working hours are between 9:00am until 5pm with some flexibility.
Responsibilities:
Pay: $25-$65/hr depending on years of experience and certifications and/or degrees. Higher end only considered for five years or more experience and a college degree.

Responsibilities:
- Handle new client intakes
- Update clients on their case activity. Send guidelines for mitigation materials and letters of support and email terms and conditions of negotiations.
- Communicate with court staff about client matters in an intelligent and clear manner.
- Work with attorney to draft pleadings, communication, and estate documents, as well as client document editing.
- Work closely with attorney to aid with cases, docket and document management. Manage and close case files. Organize and maintain documents in an electronic filing system.
- Confirm in person and virtual court appearance information on court websites and platforms like Zoom and Teams and verify whether court appearances are in person or virtually in various courts.
- Draft and review discovery requests.
- Gather and organize evidence and process subpoenas
- Communicate with court clerks, bailiffs, judges and opposing counsel and their staff.
- Ensure on-time delivery of incoming and outgoing email and messenger deliveries.
- Coordinate, schedule, and calendar various case-related deadlines and court appearances with attorneys and clients. Ensure proof of attendance to court-ordered classes and court-ordered therapies for future court dates.
- Strong professional ethics, reliability, and accountability are required.
- Associates degree or Paralegal certification a plus.
- High-level proficiency in MS Office suite, Adobe/Foxit Phantom, Dropbox.
- Ability to learn quickly and apply principles of technology and new software such as Smokeball.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to effectively organize work, manage time and execute multiple projects concurrently while working under aggressive deadlines.
- Excellent internet research and investigation skills.
- Excellent verbal communication skills include the ability to maintain patience and understanding while working with clients under difficult circumstances.
- Excellent written communication skills with the ability to draft, transcribe, proofread, and edit correspondence, reports, and legal documents.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining excellent communication with team members.
- Ability to simplify complex legal terminology in a way that is easily understandable by the client.
